Location & Customers

Your deli will need a storefront location where you can produce your goods and offer them for sale to customers. The kitchen will require equipment such as coolers, prep tables and stoves. In addition, you will need food inventory as well as packing inventory for take out orders. Your deli will alo need a display case for keeping products cold and attractively presented. If your deli offers a seating area, you will also need tables and chairs.

Your deli business will depend on a loyal customer base. you will more than likely sell most of your products to clients who live or work close to your location, and to customers who are soley driven to your concept/theme that they are willing to travel distances to purchase your offerings. Building a customer base involves developing  a sense of the customer most likely to appreciate what you have to offer, and then finding advertising along with marketing venues where you can communicate your concept to these potential customers.
